acrocheck™ User Group founded
Users plan to organize regular information exchange and meetings
Berlin, June 1, 2006. The first acrocheck™ User Days took place in Berlin on May 18 and 19. Twenty representatives from nine global corporations gathered at the Berlin offices of SAP, the host of the event.
On the first day of the event, acrolinx employees presented their technology and product roadmap for acrocheck™, the world’s leading solution for content quality management. Andrew Bredenkamp, acrolinx CEO, announced the release of acrocheck™ version 3.0 and demonstrated its significant new features. He presented a variety of use cases highlighting the different ways of deploying acrocheck™ in various industries, companies, and publishing workflows.
The
second day of the event focused on communication among the acrocheck™
users themselves. After considerable discussion, the meeting
participants formally founded the acrocheck™ User Group, with the nine
represented companies as charter members. The principal purpose of the
User Group is to provide a forum for the discussion of technical and
linguistical questions in relation to controlled language in general,
and acrocheck in particular. An open exchange of information about
linguistic and other related development is planned, with the ultimate
goal of consolidating requirements for ongoing acrolinx development.
SAP volunteered to chair the user group for the first two years. SAP
will be supported in this task by a steering committee to be elected by
User Group members.
