acrolinx announces release of acrolinx IQ™

acrolinx GmbH, the leading supplier of information quality management software, today announced the release of its new flagship product suite, the acrolinx IQ™.

The new suite builds on the great success of the acrocheck product, extending well beyond checking to provide the first complete enterprise information quality management solution. “The acrolinx IQ™ focuses on the needs of information developers throughout the enterprise,” said CEO Andrew Bredenkamp – “For the first time, developers and engineers, support staff, technical writers, and marketing copy-writers can all get the support they need to create a coherent customer experience.”

One of the major new components of the acrolinx IQ™ is a sophisticated term management solution providing enterprise-oriented Terminology Lifecycle Management. Terminology can be captured using our high-precision linguistic engines and fed into a customizable validation workflow before being released for use across the organization, for both content creators and translators. The acrolinx Terminology Manager handles not just the source languages for checking (English, German, Japanese, French) but also any number of target languages for supporting the translation process. Translation suppliers can be provided with project-specific terminology using the powerful export functionality and legacy terminology can be imported in a wide range of formats (TBX, OLIF, MultiTerm XML, and CSV).

Another major breakthrough is the acrolinx Intelligent Reuse, leveraging our linguistic intelligence to support high-quality reuse of all kinds of content: translation memories, existing content in a CMS or just published documents. Intelligent Reuse uses revolutionary micro-clustering algorithms to reduce content and translation memory redundancy by up to 30% while promoting quality in source and translated content.

The acrolinx IQ™ also comes with optional terminology checking for Spanish. More languages are planned for later this year.

We are extending our deployments across our corporate customers by providing two new integrations for Marketing and Training material: Adobe InDesign and Microsoft PowerPoint plug-ins are now available.
