acrolinx Moves to New Headquarters
Strong growth requires more office space
Berlin,
27 March 2007. acrolinx, a specialist in language quality control,
moved into its new office space in Berlin. The company is now located
at Rosenstraße 2 in Berlin-Mitte, directly adjacent to Hackescher
Markt. The move was necessary due to strong growth over the past
several years. In their new headquarters, the Berlin-based staff now
also has the opportunity to conduct product training on the premises.
Moreover, the company has now come full circle: acrolinx is a spin-off
the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), which is
located in the same building. In the future, a close exchange of
information can take place between the two organizations immediately
and with almost no spatial separation.
Since its establishment in 2002, acrolinx has experienced continual growth. The decisive key to the company’s success is its flagship product acrocheck, a tool for creating consistent documents throughout an entire company. acrocheck is used especially in communication documents for technical products and ensures more efficient translation and localization processes. This significantly reduces the considerable costs in this field. acrocheck maintains its technological edge through a combination of rule-based and statistical linguistic processes, largely developed by the DFKI.
"This move is a further milestone for us," explains Dr. Andrew Bredenkamp, Managing Director of acrolinx GmbH. "It demonstrates our strong growth. In the coming months, our success in technical documentation will continue. At the same time, we want to tap new target groups for acrocheck. For example, we are eager to demonstrate to marketing personnel the relevance of a tool like acrocheck for a consistently maintained linguistic corporate identity."
